Hi!  My name is Mikko Anttonen (A.K.A. Freaky Mike) and I work as a traditional blacksmith and jewelry artist in a small countryside village. I'm pretty mad on science fiction- & fantasy art/literature, historical times and metal music as well.. I have always liked drawing and making objects from metal, wood and other natural materials.
Link to my personal web gallery: www.saunalahti.fi/~wfan - (Text is mainly in Finnish..)

I drew a lot, when I was a kid.. In my teenage years that went to the backround, but after 2002 I got extremely interested it again, and draw and paint a lot of scifi- and fantasy themed works etc. (Mainly in Wacom tablet and Photoshop.)
I made all kind of metalworks for hobby over ten years and I started finally my own business in 2007. My blacksmith workshop is located inside the old barn house which was built over hundred years ago. The actual company is called "Taidetakomo Astalo", so I decided to use it also for my nick in here. (Astalo is really a finnish name or legal term for temporary striking weapons.)

Many people have asked, that do i sell my metal works online or make some commissions in there, but i have to say no for all of them.
I have already so much work to do in our farm/forests and with my little company, that i don't have any meaningful reasons to expand my "business" outside Finland. I started posting my crafts in here, because it's interesting to hear some feedback and comments also from around the world, and not only from my local circles.

Sorry about typos. English is not my native language. :)

Ps. Can you please stop sending new badges for me, because I don't want to "level up" anymore.
I give llamas only for my new watchers or maybe trade them for points, so that llama for llama practice is only a waste of time with me.

Hello Sir, I am new to this deviant art site but when I saw your metal works I had to check your stuff out. I too live on a farm (in the USA) and have been improving my metalworking skills for the few years. But your penanular brooches are stunning and inspiring! I hope this message finds you well!
