Silver jewelry 3 by Astalo Silver jewelry 3 by Astalo
Few different silver pendants what i made for christmas sales and one commission work pendant from silver and glass. (Customer found that piece of green glass with star symbol on the beach in her holiday trip and wish, that i design and made some kind of pendant from that.)

Diameters are about 30-35 mm, and there you find more pictures from my favourite models in this set. [link] - [link] - [link]

Kiitos kun lisäsit suosikeihisi. Ensi kuun päivityksessäkin on tulossa yksi uusi hopeakorukollaasi.

how did you make them purple?

They are not really purple.
I take the photographs on my backyard in one very gloom winter day and there was so much snow everywhere, that the actual silver color scheme went more bluish than usual.

Hyvää työtä mies. En koskaan olisi uskonut löytäväni näin lahjakasta suomalaista metalli työstäjää täältä. Jatka samaan malliin.

Very nice to hear it.
I have always liked nature themes and i'm going to make probably very soon even more different pendants in that similar "floral style". :)

Thanks for adding these to your favourites.

I already sell that round one in last week and few other local girls want also some pendants from that same theme so that new version in the bottom row will probably also go very fast in tomorrow when is my "selling shift" again in the local handicraft workers christmas market.

I'm very sorry, but i sell stuff outside finland in only those cases when customers come to visit in there. (I have relatives in Germany and they come to my place almost in every summer and take usually some other friends with them, who carry my metal works sometimes also in Canada and Australia etc.)

That's the only international business what i do, because international banking and shipping things are so complicated in here, that i don't want to mess with that matter. (I want to keep my everyday life and business so simple as possible..)

are they made from mold or hammered?

I don't use casting for making those. You can read better explanation from my working methods in the answer what i wrote in the first comment in this picture. :)

Only things where i remember that i use also some hammers are that eye pendant, first pendant in the top row and those small silver domes what i use for the details in my tree shaped amulets and two pendants in the middle row. I made them from 0,5-0,7 mm thick silver sheets with my dapping block set. [link]

Very Nice...............Are they lost wax? Some look as though you added beading to them. There are a few stock items that would accent some of my work and I hadn't thought of doing that. I tend to over work myself incorporating the stuff in the master. I guess I should follow my own rule more....Work smarter not harder. Again, Very nice!!!!!

Thanks. I don't have machines for lost wax casting in my home workshop so i use mainly sheet metal and wire work techniques in my silver works. Only "ready made parts" are those flower shaped spacer beads and ball chains. [link] - [link]

First i just made a lot of different sized silver balls, rings, domes, discs and other simple shapes from 0,5-1,0 mm thick silver sheets and round/square wires and arrange them to nice shapes.
Then i only solder all the parts together and finish the surface engraving it with my Dremel and hand chisels and add finally some patina to give more contrast to the details.

For example those tree pendants have over 30 different parts solder together. :)

I use also some repousse and chasing methods for that eye thing and one round pendant in the top row.
