Some commission work handles and fireplace equipment what i made in last month.

Those two viking ship candle holders are more recent works and the length of that bigger one is about 50 cm. (There you can find more pictures from them. [link] - [link] )

I also liked that candle ship, but in nowadays i have forged only flat ship designs like in this set. astalo.deviantart.com/art/Forg… It's a lot of faster to make in that way.

Thanks for the compliments. (And also for the fave & watch.)

I'm going to make later one improved-version from that table ship for only my own use. There will be typical dragon head bows and maybe also some paddles and other more authentic details like that. :)

Thanks again for your kind words.

These last months before Christmas are always quite busy time for artisan people like me. I was in one selling event just saturday and there will be five more coming in next three weeks. (I have to make also some few last commission works before xmas.)

After that I take a couple weeks break and make mostly some new silver works & spoon/gear/coin/bone pendants in rest of the winter months. :)

being busy is good though, when the results are worth the effort of course :D

Thanks for faving it.
That kind of structure is very common in old finnish fireplaces. Traditional stone/masonry owen usually opens in two different directions and that pole thing is attached in-between them.

Nice fireplace system up top? Very nice design. I might have to commission a system like that when I build my house..

I also like that design, but i have to change the actual boat parts structure a little bit if i want to make more of them.

It's just too slow to forge realistic looking boat frame from one solid metal piece, but for example that "square rod keel + flat steel sides" structure what i use for my bigger viking ship is really a lot of easier and faster to make.

You might think I'm being sarcastic, but that's really fascinating to me. I don't think I have the patience for smithing but I find the process fascinating.

No. All the pieces are made from normal steel, but i polished that part with sand paper and put then some clear spray lacquer to it.
