Actual forging is not really the problem, but i can't harden so long metal objects with my small furnace and my quench tank is also not very suitable for longer objects. (Japanese swordsmiths have much longer furnaces in their forge.)
I make usually a little bit smaller weapons like axes.
What are the dimensions for your quench tank? I've just been using a bucket.

Lol, professionalism doesn't require expensive tools! I'm currently working with a vice grip, pliers, a mapp gas torch, an angle grinder, and a big plastic bucket.
...And I already have a Bo Shuriken commission...
If people don't know how to do something, I guess the thing to do is charge them to do it for them.
