How cute. She thinks it's Myspace.

"Whatever happened to Harry?"
"Oh, he don't need us. He happened upon an Essentials Kit. He opened it up, and it was filled with food, shelter, and love!"

I don't make any kind of swords for sale.

Actual forging is not really the problem, but i can't harden so long metal objects with my small furnace and my quench tank is also not very suitable for longer objects. (Japanese swordsmiths have much longer furnaces in their forge.)

I make usually a little bit smaller weapons like axes.
What are the dimensions for your quench tank? I've just been using a bucket.

I have also some old paint bucket. :XD:
Lol, professionalism doesn't require expensive tools!
I'm currently working with a vice grip, pliers, a mapp gas torch, an angle grinder, and a big plastic bucket.

...And I already have a Bo Shuriken commission...

If people don't know how to do something, I guess the thing to do is charge them to do it for them.

That sounds very interesting. I also work tools just like that almost seven years when this thing was only a hobby and not any kind of income. :)

I build my first forge in year 2004 and now i have been "professional" in whole two years. (Or at least in the summer times..)
I work mainly in May to November, because my forge is located in old barnhouse and it's like a freezer in the winter time.
