Four axes by Astalo Four axes by Astalo
Viking style "Long Dane" and three fantasy themed battle axes. I use old broken axehead for material in that bottom left one, but rest of those are made all by me. (I found that rusty axehead from near by forest broken in two pieces, so i have to weld it back together and next i add curved spike to backside and also lengthen the socket a little bit.)

Thanks for adding these axes to your favourites.
I have heard that one blacksmith colleague was on medieval fair earlier in this summer and a lot of people come to see what he was forging in there. One of the spectators was very wasted/drunk or something and turned quite hostile when he find some backup hammer near the anvil. First he hit on the middle of the forge and burnig coal pieces start to fly all over the places. After that people started to shout him and the guy tried to attack the crowd with that hammer, but they overpowered him and security guards came to take guy away.

You never know what kind of grazies you can meet in summer fairs.

Did you just.. fall on the head of the axe? like "lalala I walk in the forest... Oh what this thing so rusty in the grass? Omg but it's a freaking badass axe head!!"

No really? please tell me you go on a black lost moosy castle near a cursed swamp inside an endless forest. please.

Oh, by the way.. your work is so awesome that I don't believe my eyes.

I found it from top of the large rock with some other broken tools and rusty barb wire reels. Maybe some local farmer use that place for dump, or something like it. :) (Originally that axe head style is used for making traditional log houses and they still make similar hatchets in nowadays. Thanks for adding that other more larger weapon montage to your favourites.

Thanks for faving this picture.

I don't exactly like just that one very much, because of the spike, what i welded together from flat steel bars. (Lol.. Not very authentic.) When i find some time, i try to forge one more traditional looking center spike and change it to that spot.
