Bronze mace by Astalo Bronze mace by Astalo
This brutal looking "orc hand" warhammer is one of the biggest metal object what i have ever made in "lost wax" casting method. (It weight over 3 kg)

I made it when i was studying for my blacksmith/artisan diploma at the College of Crafts and Design (1999-2001)

This mace is Fantastic.  Do you mind if I make this into an art object (weapon) that can then be placed on maps for RPG's like D&D or Pathfinder?

Be my guest. Idea came originally from real historical fist-and-pick warhammers. www.lutel-handicraft.com/?p=pr… - www.kultofathena.com/product.a…

That is a brutally attractive hammer. It has "RPG boss item" all over it. :)

Thanks again for the faves. I have always liked that old warhammer/mace design, but real historical ones were much lighter and more realistic looking weapons than my weird thing. [link]

Thanks for faving it and that other picture.

I have more maces coming very soon, but they are quite basic and simple models from medieval europe, and not anything like this fantasy thing.

That really is very nice. The attention to detail is great, and I love the touch of the textured wood handle instead of a smooth one

Thanks. It's really a very "top heavy" object, so i want to get always very good grip on the handle. It's almost the only reason why i make that pattern in there. :D

Well, it looks cooler that way, I think. Although, if you want it balanced differently, you could try some counterweighting at the bottom
